Your work will help maximise the health and economic benefits of sport in Australia, protect the integrity of sport, support elite athletes, and bring major sporting events to Australia.
Priorities include:
- Delivering the National Sport Strategy over the next decade to achieve sporting outcomes across participation, inclusion, high performance and the economy.
- Implementing the Sport Diplomacy Strategy to help elevate Australian sport, strengthen international engagement and advance gender and disability equality.
- Coordinating the government’s involvement in major international sporting events.
- Building a thriving sport system to support healthy, active, connected communities
- Harnessing the once-in-a-generation opportunity of the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games to bring social and economic benefits to Australia.
- Working with stakeholders and government agencies to ensure we have a fair sports system that everyone can partake in, including Sport Integrity Australia, the National Sports Tribunal, the Australian Sports Foundation and the Australian Sports Commission.
