Infrastructure and Transport Ministers' Meetings

The Infrastructure and Transport Ministers' Meetings provide a forum for intergovernmental collaboration, decision-making and progressing priorities of national importance. The meetings facilitate work with the Commonwealth, state, territory and local governments to drive national reforms that improve the safety and productivity of Australia's transport and infrastructure systems. On the 23 October 2020, National Cabinet accepted the recommendations of the Review of COAG Councils and Ministerial Forums conducted by Mr Peter Conran AM. This included the need to rationalise and streamline arrangements for the Infrastructure and Transport Ministers Meeting as well as establish a separate National Cabinet Reform Committee on Infrastructure and Transport.
