Create inclusive aviation workplaces

Aviation organisations can get involved by using the gender nudge materials developed through the Women in Aviation Nudge Trial. These publicly available resources provide practical guidance on how to introduce small, evidence based changes—known as “nudges”—that support more inclusive workplace cultures.

The action guide encourages organisations to reflect on gender gaps as opportunities for improvement, choose nudges suited to their workplace, and manage resistance to change through clear communication and leadership support. It also highlights the importance of visible support from leaders and taking a staged approach to change to help maintain impact over time.

By applying these approaches, aviation organisations can take practical steps to improve attraction, retention and inclusion of women across the industry.

Build safe and respectful workplaces

The Australian Human Rights Commission offers free online learning modules on sex discrimination, sexual harassment and building safe, respectful workplaces.

These short eLearning courses are designed for people of all genders, including workers, leaders and managers across all industries. The modules support a shared understanding of respectful conduct and help individuals contribute to inclusive, professional and safe workplace cultures within the aviation sector.
