Australian Government guidance on the Optus data breach

COVID-19 and passengers

The latest advice from the Australian Government on COVID-19 is available on the Australian Government website.

International passenger caps have been removed for all international passenger arrivals into Australia.

In relation to domestic travel, passengers are recommended to follow standard practices such as social distancing, cough etiquette and hand hygiene, to reduce the risk of transmitting COVID-19 when travelling.

The requirements to wear masks in airports no longer applies, but domestic and inbound international air travel still requires the wearing of masks on aircraft.
