On Farm Connectivity Program

On this page

As part of the 2026–27 Budget, the Australian Government has committed $10 million for Round 3 of the On Farm Connectivity Program. Round 3 will continue to support primary producers in agriculture, forestry and fisheries to extend connectivity in their fields and take advantage of connected machinery and sensor technology.

The department will open the Expression of Interest (EOI) process for businesses supplying connectivity and agricultural technology equipment to the agricultural sector in the coming weeks. Key information about the EOI process and the Program will be published on the department's website at that time.

Round 3 will open for applications once the EOI process is complete and Approved Suppliers have been confirmed.

About the Program

The Australian Government has allocated $43 million across 3 rounds for the On Farm Connectivity Program (the Program) to enable primary producers in agriculture, forestry and fisheries to extend connectivity in their fields and take advantage of connected machinery and sensor technology.

Funded through the Better Connectivity Plan for Regional and Rural Australia, Rounds 1 and 2 sought to assist primary producers to increase connectivity, improve safety and drive more sustainable farming practice.

Rounds 1 and 2 of the Program delivered over $30.5 million in rebates to help more than 2,900 primary production businesses boost connectivity on their farms.

Case studies

Advice for Previous Approved Suppliers

Businesses previously on a List of Approved Suppliers for earlier rounds are requested to remove all references to OFCP Rounds 1 and 2 from their websites, social media and all other electronic and printed media including pamphlets and flyers. Based on feedback received, some changes to the Program and Approved Supplier requirements are expected. Businesses will have an opportunity to be considered as a supplier for Round 3 through an Expression of Interest process.
