The National Broadband Network (NBN) is Australia's national wholesale open-access data network.

NBN Co Limited (NBN Co) was established in 2009 as a Government Business Enterprise (GBE) and is a fully owned Commonwealth company. NBN Co has responsible for building and operating the NBN, to lift Australia's digital capability by delivering reliable, fast, resilient and secure broadband access.

NBN Co must fulfil the objectives set out by the Minister for Communications and Minister for Finance, in accordance with the government's Statement of Expectations (SoE).
