Western Sydney International Airport

Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport (WSI) is on track to open in the second half of 2026.

The new airport is a transformational infrastructure project that will bring employment and business opportunities to the region and meet Sydney’s growing aviation needs.

The airport will operate curfew-free to deliver international and domestic passenger and freight services and help meet Sydney's growing aviation needs.

WSI is being delivered by WSA Co Limited (WSA), a Commonwealth Company wholly owned by the Australian Government, established in 2017 to build and operate the airport. Further details about the operation of the airport can be found at wsiairport.com.au

The Australian Government is responsible for regulatory oversight of the project, including for developing the flight paths for single runway operations at WSI, ensuring compliance with environmental conditions and delivering the Noise Insulation Program.
