I am deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Queen Elizabeth the Second, and the end of a historic reign exemplified by duty, humility and service to the Commonwealth.

I know you will join me in offering our deepest condolences to the Royal Family, who have not only lost their Queen, figurehead and matriarch, but a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.

For many of us, Queen Elizabeth II was the only monarch we have ever known, and will forever hold a special place in our hearts for her dedication, compassion and commitment to the people she served.

Conrad Gargett and SMA Tourism will be back on Norfolk Island next week to share the draft recommendations and implementation of the Kingston Site Master Plan (SMP) with the community, providing further opportunity for Norfolk Islanders to help inform the plan for the historic site’s future.

This third round of consultation on the SMP builds on previous community input, presenting opportunities for Kingston for the immediate and short term (0 to 2 years), medium term (2 to 5 years) and long term (5 to 10 years). It will inform the final SMP for Kingston.
