CR 126: Towards Traffic Calming: A Practitioner's Manual of Implemented Local Area Traffic Management and Blackspot Devices (1992)

Summary

Local Area Traffic Management (LATM) has been implemented throughout Australia over several decades. On the world scene, Australian authorities and consultants have been at the forefront of traffic management treatment design and have much experience which practitioners can benefit. This Manual provides a guide for practitioners in devising the appropriate treatment forspecific traffic problems. During the course of preparation, questionnaires and requests for information were made to authorities in all states and overseas. Responses were received from 240 diverse sources. A large number of plans and photographs have been included to assist the understanding of treatments and devices.
