Summary

A content analysis of the portrayals of driving incidents and alcohol incidents in popular television programmes has been conducted, as well as the examination of a sample of alcohol advertisements. In general, the study concluded that driving is presented fairly responsibly on television watched by adults. Those incidents of irregular and dangerous driving which occurred were mainly found in American productions.
