How you can voice your opinionYou can provide a written submission. The Department has released an issues paper for you to consider when drafting your submission. Submissions should be received by Monday 10 August 2015.
What will be the outcome of this consultation?Feedback from the consultation will assist the Government to ensure the regulator is able to effectively deal with challenges arising from a rapidly changing communications sector. The Department will report to the Minister for Communications by the end of 2015.
The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) was established in 2005. Given the rapid changes in the communications sector over the last ten years, the Australian Government considers it timely to review the effectiveness and efficiency of regulatory arrangements in the current and future digital environment.
