The Australian National Aviation Safety Plan 2024–2027

Safety is always the primary consideration of Australian Government aviation agencies to ensure continued confidence in our aviation industry.

The Australian National Aviation Safety Plan (NASP) 2024–2027 complements the Australian State Safety Programme (SSP). It identifies initiatives that are being undertaken to reduce the risks associated with aviation operations in Australia, and details the strategic direction for the management of aviation safety in the short, medium and long term.

The NASP Annual Safety Report shows progress towards achieving the NASP's aviation safety goals and objectives. This reporting period represents the first formal performance checkpoint of the NASP cycle. Government agencies will use these results to shape their focus over the remaining cycle period and into the future with the next edition of the NASP. Subsequent reporting is expected to provide clearer indications on overall safety performance and trending.
