The Australian Government’s response to the Independent Statutory Review of the Online Safety Act highlights the government's commitment to ensuring Australia's online safety laws remain fit for purpose. The response reiterates the government's commitment to legislate a digital duty of care, which will require platforms to exercise due diligence and take steps to prevent foreseeable harms on their services. In total, the government intends to implement or further consider 64 of the Review's 67 recommendations.
