Due to the current COVID-19 travel restrictions, the planned site visit for the Kingston and Arthur’s Vale Historic Area (Kingston) Site Master Plan and review and update of the Heritage Management Plan have been postponed until early 2022.

It is important that the team from Conrad Gargett and GML Heritage have the opportunity to visit the island and meet with community members in person to effectively undertake these important projects.

The Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development and Communications (the Department) and the Shire of Cocos (Keeling) Islands are pleased to confirm arrangements have been finalised for the ongoing housing of the Cocos doctor on Home Island.

Consultation and Decision Regulation Impact Statements

On 12 February 2021, the Department published the Reform of the Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport: Consultation Regulation Impact Statement (Consultation RIS.) The Consultation RIS included regulatory and non-regulatory reform options for 16 areas of the Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2002 (Transport Standards).
