About the program

The Community Development Grants Programme (CDG) was the former Government’s grants program for delivering its election commitments.

The Australian Government announced on 24 October 2022 that the CDG will cease.  This means the CDG program is closed to applications.

Contracted projects

Existing CDG projects funded in earlier rounds will be completed in line with the terms of their funding agreement.

Regional Airports Program

Regional and Remote Airport Support Program

The program provided $4.8 million in critical financial relief to 34 eligible regional and remote airport operators that were owed debt by the Rex regional business when it entered voluntary administration.

The program aimed to support critical aviation services and local governments in regional and remote areas to maintain essential services.

Eligibility was assessed against the criteria in the Grant Opportunity Guidelines.
