Upcoming emergency tree works

The Kingston team advises that planned tree works will shortly be undertaken at Quality Row following the identification of an emerging safety risk.

Works will include the removal of a Norfolk Island Pine which is showing significant signs of die-back and borer damage, resulting in a risk to public safety and nearby heritage structures.

The pine is located opposite All Saints Church on Quality Row. The proposed works have been informed by expert arborist advice and follow-up assessment, consideration of heritage values and review of management options.

Public safety is the primary consideration where a tree presents a risk to people, infrastructure or heritage assets.

Temporary access restrictions and traffic management controls may be in place while works are under way. Further advice on this will be provided through radio and SMS announcements.
