Regional communities are set to benefit from $45 million for 8 new projects through the latest round of the Regional Precincts and Partnerships Program.
The $400 million program supports projects across regional, rural and remote Australia, driving local jobs, economic growth and more resilient regional communities.
This funding round includes projects to support regional precinct development in Western Australia, Queensland, South Australia, NSW and the Northern Territory.
The successful recipients are:
- $1 million to develop a masterplan for the Mullumbimby Recreation and Environmental Precinct (NSW)
- $11 million to support the restoration and upgrade of the Gympie Civic Centre (QLD)
- $1 million to support the feasibility study for NORPA’s The Joinery: a flood resilient hub for Lismore’s cultural precinct (NSW)
- $3 million to support infrastructure planning to transform Timber Creek in the Victoria Daly region into a sustainable regional hub (NT)
- $0.8 million to design Kimba Care and Connect: A Precinct for Housing, Health & Family Wellbeing (SA)
- $10 million to support the redevelopment of the Crago Mill Cultural Precinct (NSW)
- $10 million to support the delivery of Yarrabah’s first business centre (QLD)
- $8.1 million to support the Spencer Street Precinct Project in Albany (WA)
To date, the Australian Government has committed $333.9 million to 64 projects through the program.
