Perth's Armadale line has reopened, including a new 8-kilometre extension to Byford.
The Byford Rail Extension improves linkages to the growing residential area in Perth’s south east, allowing Byford residents to reach the CBD in 46 minutes.
Jointly funded by the Australian and West Australian governments, the project includes the construction of a new train station at Byford and upgraded elevated station at Armadale.
The elevated rail line has facilitated the removal of 9 level crossings, and has opened up 8 hectares of new public space, including shared pedestrian and cycle paths.
