The Australian Government has released the 2022-23 Federal Budget

The 2022-23 Federal Budget contains significant investment in transport and water infrastructure, regional development, communications, the arts, and freight and supply chains.

The Australian Government has released the 2022-23 Federal Budget.

The Budget includes an additional $17.9 billion in new commitments to infrastructure projects through the 2022-23 Budget, increasing the Government’s rolling 10-year infrastructure investment pipeline to $120 billion.

The Government will also provide $7.1 billion over 11 years from 2022-23 to turbocharge regional economies including four key regional hubs across Australia, complemented by a new $2 billion Regional Accelerator Program, which will deliver targeted and transformative investment opportunities using existing Commonwealth programs.

The Budget also includes significant investment in the communications and arts sectors, with over $5.6 billion to benefit industry, local organisations, communities and families Australia-wide.

There is also additional investment in local jobs and infrastructure, enhancing freight and supply chains, cities and regional water infrastructure.
