Up to $15 million in grant funding available for airports and aerodromes through Round 5 of the Regional Airports Program.
Safer and more accessible airports and aerodromes will soon be on the way for regional areas with applications now open for key safety and accessibility upgrades.
Round 5 of the Regional Airports Program will see essential works like runway resurfacing, fencing, lighting and upgrades to support the transition of air services to net zero delivered. Eligible activities also include safety training and basic airside ambulance and passenger shelters to support patient health in transit.
The Australian Government will fund up to 50% of the project with grants between $20,000 and $5 million available.
The scope of projects to be funded under this round will build on the almost 240 projects already supported through the first 4 rounds of the program.
Applications close on Tuesday 28 July (5:00 pm AEST).
