This week marks 6 years to go until the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
As we countdown to 2032, excitement is building as the biggest sporting event in the world returns down under. For many Australians, it will be their first time seeing an Olympic and Paralympic Games on home soil.
The Australian Government is committed to the success of the Brisbane 2032 Games and is supporting its delivery through:
- significant investment in community sporting venues and transport infrastructure
- activities that will benefit Australia and the Oceania region across tourism, trade and sport participation
- high-performance sporting programs and athlete preparations
- delivery of operational services including border security, visa and tax handling, telecommunications, intellectual property protections and sport integrity.
These measures will help ensure the Brisbane 2032 Games leave an enduring legacy not just for Brisbane, but for all of Queensland, Australia, and the greater Oceania region, long after the closing ceremony.
