Productivity Commission report on National Transport Regulatory Reform

Introduction

The Productivity Commission released its final report on National Transport Regulatory Reform on 1 October 2020.

The report was commissioned by the Australian Government in 2019 to assess the economic impact of reforms agreed by the Council of Australian Governments in 2008-09. The department is currently considering all recommendations within the report and undertaking consultation with regulators, jurisdictions and industry stakeholders to prepare a response.
