The Role of Parents in the Road Safety Behaviour of Children
Summary
Survey data from 835 parents in New South Wales suggest that parents regard themselves as key providers of road safety education for their children, supported by other family and community members. Parents indicated that they see roadside learning as more effective than resources, especially resources which target either children or parents separately. They responded positively to the notion of attending training sessions and meetings.
