The Regional Data Hub will be a central source of data for Australia's regions. It will help improve outcomes for communities by strengthening the evidence base for future decisions.
Data plays a critical role in helping governments and community decision makers improve outcomes for Australia's regions. The Regional Data Hub (the Hub) will improve the evidence base for regional communities, local leaders, industry and all levels of government by bringing together key economic, demographic and socio-economic data to provide users with easy access to information about their regions.
The Hub is part of the Australian Government's $13.7 million Better Data Use to Support Delivery for Regional Australians program.
Our consultation process
The Department ran a nation-wide consultation process to inform the Hub design from 24 May to 2 July 2021. Published submissions and the consultation paper can be found at the Have your say page.
We thank everyone who contributed their views. The feedback received is forming an important part of our ongoing development of the Hub.
