Help design a new data resource for regional Australia

Help design a new data resource for regional Australia.

We're developing a new regional data hub to provide a central source of data for issues affecting our regions and we need your help to inform its design.

The Hub will improve the evidence base for regional communities, local leaders, industry and governments by bringing together key economic, demographic and socio-economic data to provide users with easy access to information about their regions.

Over the next six weeks, we will be consulting extensively to inform the development of the Hub and are inviting anyone with an interest in regional data to complete a survey or respond to our consultation paper.

The main areas we are seeking feedback on are:

  • what data you need
  • how you want to access data
  • data sharing opportunities

The Hub is being delivered as part of the Australian Government's $13.7 million Better Data Use to Support Delivery for Regional Australians program announced in the 2020–21 Budget.

Feedback can be provided via a 20 minute survey and we welcome a more comprehensive response to the consultation paper now released. Consultations close 5pm AEST Friday 2 July 2021.
