National Water Infrastructure Development Fund Drought Round

Applications are closed for Expressions of Interest (EOI) from state and territory governments for funding through the Drought Round.

The Australian Government has announced the following outcomes:

  • $715,000 for the Coolanie Water Scheme in South Australia
  • $790,240 for the Warwick Recycled Water for Agriculture Project in Queensland
  • $31,296,500 for the Macalister Irrigation District Modernisation Phase 2 Project in Victoria

On 19 August 2018, the Australian Government announced a drought round under the capital component of the National Water Infrastructure Development Fund (the fund) as a part of the Government’s drought package.

The Drought Round will provide funding to assist state and territory governments fast-track the construction of permanent water infrastructure projects to increase water supply and security for primary producers, businesses and communities in drought affected rural and regional areas
