Australian Government guidance on the Optus data breach

Australian Design Rules overlapping regulations review

Through a public consultation process, the Australian Government is exploring opportunities to streamline the Australian Design Rules (ADRs) by adopting an ‘opt-out’ regulatory approach that accepts UN Regulations and standards from ‘trusted’ or designated economies, unless demonstrated to be unsuitable for Australian conditions. Streamlining ADRs may benefit businesses and consumers, streamline vehicle supply and improve transparency and accountability for regulators.
