The Department's National Emerging Aviation Technologies Policy Statement sets out how Government will support individuals, businesses and industry to adopt new and emerging digital aviation technologies.
Road Safety Innovation Fund
The Department's Road Safety Innovation Fund provides funding for innovative projects designed to reduce the number of deaths and serious injuries on Australian roads and help create a safe and sustainable road transport system for everyone. This includes projects to develop future land transport technologies.
Critical Technologies Policy Coordination Office
The Critical Technologies Policy Coordination Office in the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet coordinates whole-of-government advice on technology developments, opportunities and risks, and recommends actions to promote and protect critical technologies.

Satellite-Based Augmentation System
Geoscience Australia coordinates a national approach to positioning infrastructure and services, which will benefit various services including C-ITS and AVs. They are working in collaboration with Land Information New Zealand to offer precise positioning through a Satellite Based Augmentation System, which will offer accuracy at the 10cm level.

The Australian Trade and Investment Commission (Austrade) leads Australia’s engagement with international business looking to work with Australian businesses and governments, while helping innovative Australian businesses to market their capability overseas and access international markets.
