The Australian Government's $1 billion Relief and Recovery Fund provides flexible and timely support for affected workers, businesses, industry sectors and communities. Industry sectors include agriculture, the arts, aviation, communication, education, fisheries, tourism and transport.
The Fund is delivered through policy changes as well as existing or newly established Government programs and initiatives.
Funding is rolled out in phases, with the first phase focusing on fast, simple and targeted initiatives aimed at maintaining economic activity through the crisis and helping speedy recovery. Future phases aim to support recovery in key sectors to ensure the ongoing viability and resilience of communities right across Australia.
