APS HR School Leaver Program

The Australian Public Service (APS) Human Resource (HR) School Leaver program is an opportunity for Year 12 graduates to enter a Human Resource career in the APS workforce in one of the participating agencies.

The APS HR School Leaver program is a 12-month pilot program which provides an additional entry pathway to a Human Resources career. If you have successfully completed a Year 12 certificate in 2022, or are completing one in 2023, you are encouraged to apply. Successful participants will commence the program in early 2024.

Program details

• The program includes a 12-month ongoing role at the APS 1 level and the opportunity to advance to an APS 2 level
• Structured on-the-job and corporate training including undertaking a Certificate IV in Human Resource Management

Eligibility

To be eligible for the 2024 APS HR School Leaver Program, you must:

• have completed your Year 12 certificate in 2022, or be completing one in 2023
• be an Australian citizen or have proof you will be granted Australian citizenship by November 2023
• be able to obtain and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
