The Department commissioned the Social Research Centre to conduct the 2021 Media Content Consumption Survey in September 2021 to look at media content behaviours of Australians. This is the second year that the survey has been carried out, revealing trends in viewing behaviours when compared to last year's results.
The Survey covered a range of topics including screen content preferences across traditional and new platforms, devices used to watch screen content, and news and sports consumption.
A total of 4,135 online surveys were completed between 14 September and 5 October 2021.
The Department can provide an accessible version of the Survey upon request.
