The Aviation Security Training Advisory Group (ASTAG)

The Aviation Security Training Advisory Group (ASTAG) was established in March 2006 to assist the project development by providing strategic input and contribute to the development of the Aviation Security Training Framework (ASTF).

ASTAG meetings have been held at various critical stages throughout the framework development to review papers and reports, provide feedback and guidance for the development of the ASTF.

The ASTAG consists of 14 aviation industry participants from across all sections of the industry and throughout Australia.  The membership of this group was drawn from each sector of the industry to ensure effective operation and limit the demand on the industry for input and consultation.

The ASTAG is an important advisory group who provide strategic industry input that will assist the project in developing a robust security capability within the Australian aviation industry.
