Jobs Fund - National Bike Path Projects
| The $650 million Jobs Fund is part of the Australian Government's Jobs and Training Compact. The Jobs Fund will support and create jobs and improve skills by funding projects that build community infrastructure and create social capital in local communities. |
The National Bike Path Projects component of the Jobs Fund is now fully allocated. For organisations interested in submitting proposals for funding under other components of Jobs Fund, information and updates are available on the Jobs Fund website.

Funding Agreement
The National Bike Path Projects uses two forms of Funding Agreement:
A Short Form Funding Agreement - used for projects where the National Bike Path Projects contribution is under $100,000 (GST exclusive), and
A Long Form Funding Agreement - used for projects where the National Bike Path Projects contribution is over $100,000 (GST exclusive).

What is the National Bike Path Projects Component?
National Bike Path Projects component is part of the Jobs Fund.
The Government has set aside $40 million over one year for the construction of bike paths under the Local Jobs stream of the Jobs Fund.
The Jobs Fund, including National Bike Path Projects, commenced on 1 July 2009. Projects will be funded until 30 June 2010.
A first round of applications for the Jobs Fund closed at 4.30pm AEST on 22 May 2009 with an extension to 29 May 2009 for those in disaster-affected areas.
