Public Consultation: Design & Construct (D&C)
As a Council of Australian Governments' (COAG) Infrastructure Working Group (IWG) initiative, the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance and the Commonwealth Department of Infrastructure and Transport were tasked to investigate opportunities for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of market engagement and tendering strategies for Traditional Contracting, particularly Design & Construct (D&C).
In late 2010, the Victorian Department of Treasury and Finance highlighted a number of opportunities where further work would be of benefit and which will promote improvements in the productivity of infrastructure delivery through traditional contracting in the report:
