Our Cities Consultations

On 1 December 2010, the Minister for Infrastructure and Transport released a discussion paper, Our Cities - building a productive, sustainable and liveable future, accompanied by a background and research paper, Our Cities - the challenge of change. Both of these documents can be downloaded.

During the three month consultation period nearly 450 stakeholders participated in workshops across each of the eighteen major cities of Australia, and 230 public submissions and survey responses were received from State, Territory and Local Governments, industry and community representatives, urban researchers and members of the public.

The Australian Government wishes to thank those who took part in the workshops and contributed submissions and survey responses.

The written submissions received by the Department are available below.
