State of Australian Cities
State of Australian Cities 2011
State of Australian Cities 2011 was launched by the Hon Anthony Albanese MP, Minister for Infrastructure and Transport in October 2011 and has since been downloaded over 800,000 times.
Not only does it build on the knowledge contained in the first report published in 2010, it also brings together a raft of new data that compares our cities with each other and cities internationally. It provides an evidence base to support the National Urban Policy released in May 2011, which sets out concrete steps to make our cities better places to live and work in.

State of Australian Cities 2010 draws together existing data and information across a range of economic, social and environmental parameters to provide a national snapshot of the seventeen Australian cities with populations over 100,000 at the date of the 2006 Census. Since then Albury-Wodonga has reached a population over 100,000, increasing the number of Australian major cities to eighteen.
