Bruce Highway – Cooroy to Curra (Section B)
This project is funded under Nation Building and has a total Australian Government investment of $488m. The total cost for the Bruce Highway project (65km proposed upgrade and bypass) is $756m.
Bruce Highway has a series of projects covering 65 kilometres. The section funded in the 2009-10 budget is:
- Cooroy to Curra Section B - the duplication of a 12 kilometre section of the Bruce Highway to provide a four-lane divided highway replacing the existing two lanes. Construction is expected to commence in 2009 and is scheduled for completion in 2012.
