Why choose us?
You could apply for a graduate position at any number of Government Departments in 2011, but we reckon we've got the best program and the best prospects for your future.
For starters, our graduate starting salary for 2011 is $50,039 plus generous superannuation, well above the private sector's nine per cent.
When you successfully complete the program, we guarantee you salary advancement to an APS Level 4 position (currently $55,442 plus super) and ongoing employment. You also have great opportunities to apply for promotion.
You'll have access to outstanding workplace support and conditions like:
- 20 days recreation leave a year;
- 25 days a year of personal circumstances leave, which includes sick, family and emergency leave;
- flexible work hours;
- training and development opportunities;
- staff health and welfare schemes; and
- emergency/occasional care facilities, to provide temporary care for children.
Following the program, as a member of the Department, you'll also have access to:
- financial support to undertake further study;
- mobility within the organisation;
- 12 weeks paid maternity leave for female staff after 12 months service; and
- two weeks paid parental leave for new parents.
