Aviation Green Paper—Flight Path to the Future—December 2008

On 3 December 2008, the Government released an Aviation Green Paper outlining a range of policy options and possible reforms for the future of Australia’s aviation industry.

The release of the Green Paper provided a second opportunity for public input with over 230 submissions received on the policy options it contains.

Drawing on these submissions the Government was able to finalise and release the Aviation White Paper on 16 December 2009.

Submissions responding to the Aviation Green Paper towards the development of the National Aviation Policy Statement

The submission period for responding to the Aviation Green Paper closed on 27 February 2009. 236 submissions were received from industry, government, community organisations and members of the public on the proposed policy initiatives and reforms. The Department reviewed all submissions in the process of assisting the Government in developing its Aviation White Paper and prepared a summary of key issues of the published submissions
